Dr. Fishbaine and Dr. Tran and their staff offer a wide range of dental services including cosmetic improvement and enhancement, comprehensive restorative dentistry, implants, removable dentures and partial dentures, children’s dentistry, root canal therapy, and many others. We are not a “one size fits all” practice. We believe that we cannot assess your needs until we examine you, talk to you, and get to know you. Our goal for you is optimal dental health. Our state-of-the-art office is located at 476 Rolling Ridge Drive and is on the first floor of the Windmere Centre, a modern professional building in Scenery Park. This impressive building features easy access to our office from South Atherton Street or from Rolling Ridge Drive. Dr. Steven Fishbaine
Dr. Fishbaine received his BS in Biology from Bucknell University in 1979. He attended Temple University Dental School where he graduated in the top 5th of his class in 1983 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. A general practice residency in Dentistry followed at the Allentown and Lehigh Valley Hospitals. Dr. Fishbaine began practicing in State College in the summer of 1984 where he happily resides with his wife, Penni. They have two children, Josh, and Arielle, both Penn State graduates.
In 1993, Dr. Fishbaine received a Fellowship degree from the Academy of General Dentistry. He also participated in the Seattle Dental Society’s Study Club from 2011-2015. Currently, Dr. Fishbaine is a member of the Spear Study Club for ongoing continuing education where he meets monthly with other dentists and dental specialists to collaborate on sophisticated dental treatment options for state of the art dentistry.
Dr. Fishbaine is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Pennsylvania Dentistry Association (PDA), and the Centre Dental Society.
Dr. Andrew Tran
A native of D.C. metro, Dr. Andrew T. Tran graduated summa cum laude from George Mason University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science. Thereafter, he pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), graduating at the top one-fifth of his class in May of 2023. While at VCU, Dr. Tran was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society, and he is currently a member of the American Dental Association.
While a student at VCU, Dr. Tran had the honor of being mentored by Dr. Garry L. Myers, the Director of Graduate Endodontics, and Dr. Eric B. Bokinsky, the Director of Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). Dr. Tran also spent part of his education training faculty and fellow classmates on soft tissue laser ablation for minor gum surgery. Additionally, he trained faculty prosthodontists on digital surgical guide design for implant placement. Outside of the school clinics, Dr. Tran treated patients at community clinics all across Virginia and served as a volunteer vaccinator in the VCU Vaccine Corps, administering around 200 COVID-19 vaccines at mass community clinics.
Off the clock, Dr. Tran loves cycling but is always looking for new pastimes. Water and snow sports are next on his list with many more hobbies down the line.
After having searched coast-to-coast for the right dental practice to kickstart his career, Dr. Tran proudly joined Dr. Fishbaine and his rockstar team in State College, where he now calls home.
Connie Jones
Lead Assistant
Connie Jones is our Lead Assistant and is one of the original members of Dr. Fishbaine’s team. She is highly experienced, very knowledgeable, and has worked in dentistry for 31 years (most of her career has been spent side-by-side with Dr. Fishbaine). Connie received her dental assisting education at CPI and has participated in a myriad of continuing education programs. Connie is married to Dave, they have two sons, Tony and Brandon, and three beautiful granddaughters. Connie enjoys exercising, visiting her grandchildren, and she loves chocolate!
Amy Bowser
Lead Hygienist
Amy Bowser is our Lead Hygienist and works full time in our office. She is amiable, conscientious, and has worked in dentistry for 20 years, and with Dr. Fishbaine for 15. She graduated from Median School in Pittsburgh for Dental Assisting in 1999, and in 2004 she earned an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Allegany College in Maryland. Amy is married to Jon, and they have a son, T.J. She enjoys snowshoeing, skiing, stand-up paddle boarding, and walking her dog.
Cristy Steward
Dental Hygienist
Cristy Steward, a dynamic and upbeat Dental Hygienist, has worked for Dr. Fishbaine since 2000 after graduating from Allegany College of Maryland with an associate degree in Dental Hygiene. Cristy is married to Lars, and they have two children, Eli and Ingrid.
